Assassin's Creed Reveals Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an special katana together with several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Special implements
- Survey Corps mount

This patch also adds the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
